Candles and Chant
We discontinued our chant services after the pandemic began. As of now we have not been able to resume but we hope this will return next fall.
Evensong was developed in the 16th century as a service for all people, not just monks and nuns. It uses the elements of the monastic evening service of vespers and compline that reflect over 1500 years of Christian prayer. The service includes chant and polyphonic music.
Compline is the last hour of prayer in the day. The name comes from the word for completion. Compline primarily uses Gregorian chant.
These services are open to all, regardless of tradition. Simply come in and find some peace.
